Skills in Demand visa (subclass 482)
The subclass 482 visa is primarily intended to provide streamlined entry arrangements for businesses needing to recruit skilled staff from overseas on a temporary basis up to 4 years.
Employer Nominated Scheme (ENS)
Employer-sponsored visas are highly responsive to labour market pressures and well-suited to addressing the short-to-medium term demand for specific skills, recognising that training Australian workers takes time.
The program allows employers to sponsor foreign workers for permanent residence to fill genuine vacancies in their business.
Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (SESR) (subclass 494)
The Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (SESR) visa helps Australian employers in regional and low population growth areas to recruit skilled foreign workers to fill permanent vacancies that are unable to be filled from the local labour market. Concessional criteria and a wider range of permissible occupations for nomination, and the skill level criteria are lower for SESR when compared to ENS.
