Business visas have three types called subclasses each with different requirements:
Business Innovation & Investment visa (Provisional) (subclass 188):
The visa is a 4 year provisional visa and is the 1st stage to permanent residency.

for people with business skills who want to establish, develop and manage a new or existing business in Australia.

2. Investor stream:
for people who want to make a designated investment of at least $AUD1.5million in an Australian state or territory and maintain business and investment activity in Australia.
Benefits of this visa:
- Can apply for extension of 2 years after 2 years
- Eligible to apply for Permanent Residence subclass 888
- Family members eligible for Permanent Residency
Significant Investor stream:
for people who are willing to invest at least $AUD5million into complying investments in Australia and want to maintain business and investment activity in Australia.
Benefits of this visa:
- No age requirement
- No English requirement
- No points test
- Residence requirement of 40 days annually Can apply for extension of 2 years after 3 years
- Eligible to apply for Permanent Residence subclass 888
- Family members eligible for Permanent Residency

Business Innovation & Investment visa (Permanent) (subclass 888):

Business Talent visa (Permanent) (subclass 132):
There is no need to apply for a provisional visa before applying for this permanent visa.
This visa is granted to people with:
